Carbon Neutral Hand Protection for Industrial Teams

Hand injuries are among the most common injuries on the job, and many are caused by gloves that don't match the hazard. At the same time, more companies are measuring the emissions of the products they buy.

  • Traffi® LXT®
  • ANSI A1–A6
  • Scope 3
Carbon Neutral Hand Protection for Industrial Teams

Carbon neutral Traffi® LXT® gloves, recycled-content SHOWA® gloves and recycled-PET Portwest® Planet gloves let you solve both at once. ECO MDS helps you match each task to the right ANSI cut level and standardize on lower-impact hand protection.

Why Make the Switch?

  • 🌿

The Right Cut Level for Every Task

Color-coded Traffi® gloves make it easy to see that each worker has the correct ANSI cut level, from light handling to sharp sheet metal.

  • 📈

    Measurable Carbon Reduction

Traffi® LXT® gloves are certified carbon neutral from raw materials through delivery, helping you report progress on Scope 3 emissions.

  • ✅

    Longer Wear, Less Waste

LXT® Life Extending Technology resists oil, dirt and water, and many styles are washable, so gloves last longer and fewer are thrown away.

Your 4-Step Checklist

A simple path to getting started, with our team ready to help at every step.

  1. Assess hazards by task

Walk each department and note what workers handle: sharp edges, impacts, oils, heat. Group tasks by risk level.

  2. Assign ANSI cut levels

Match each group to a cut level, such as A2–A3 for light handling and A4–A6 for sheet metal and glass. Add impact protection where needed.

  3. Standardize on carbon neutral styles

Replace conventional gloves with carbon neutral Traffi® LXT® or recycled-content alternatives at the same protection level.

  4. Track and report

Record glove volumes by style so your sustainability team can report the switch as part of your Scope 3 progress.

Standards & Terms to Know

  • ANSI/ISEA 105 cut levelsThe U.S. scale for cut resistance, from A1 (lowest) to A9 (highest). Higher levels protect against sharper materials and more force.
  • ANSI/ISEA 138 impactThe U.S. standard for back-of-hand impact protection, rated Level 1 to Level 3.
  • Carbon neutralA product whose measured emissions have been reduced and offset to net zero. Traffi® LXT® certification covers materials, manufacturing and shipping to delivery.
  • Scope 3 emissionsIndirect emissions from the goods and services a company buys. PPE is a frequent purchase, so lower-impact gloves can contribute to Scope 3 goals.
