ABOUT ECO MDS ASSOCIATES
Protecting People. Supporting Business. Helping Change Earth's Future.
MDS Associates, Inc. has been helping businesses protect their people and improve workplace safety since 1986. Today, our commitment has expanded to include something equally important — helping our customers make more responsible product choices for the future of our planet.
Founded in 1986, MDS Associates, Inc. is a family-owned, business-to-business wholesale distribution company specializing in industrial, janitorial, medical, personal protective equipment (PPE), contamination control, and consumable products.
Located just outside Buffalo, New York, MDS has built its business around understanding our customers' needs and providing high-performing products, competitive pricing, dependable logistics, and dedicated customer support.
Through ECO MDS Associates, we bring that same customer-first philosophy to a growing selection of sustainable, biodegradable, compostable, bio-based, and environmentally conscious products.
Our goal is simple: help businesses find practical alternatives that can reduce environmental impact without sacrificing performance, protection, or value.
TOGETHER, WE CAN CHANGE EARTH'S FUTURE
The growing use of single-use products has created an enormous challenge for businesses and communities around the world. PPE, packaging, foodservice disposables, and other everyday consumables can contribute significantly to landfill waste and plastic pollution.
We believe businesses shouldn't have to choose between performance and sustainability.
That's why ECO MDS focuses on innovative products designed to provide the protection, reliability, and functionality businesses require while offering more environmentally responsible alternatives.
Our product portfolio includes solutions such as:
- Biodegradable single-use nitrile gloves
- Sustainable and bio-based PPE
- Carbon-neutral work gloves
- Bio-based work apparel
- Biodegradable desiccants
- Sustainable packaging supplies
- Plant-based foodservice disposables
- Compostable products
- Other environmentally conscious workplace solutions
We continually research emerging technologies and product innovations to help our customers discover alternatives that can reduce landfill waste, minimize reliance on petroleum-based materials, and support more sustainable operations.
OUR HISTORY
FROM PROTECTING PEOPLE TO PROTECTING THE PLANET
MDS Associates began in 1986 by providing personal protective supplies to the healthcare industry — before OSHA regulations made many forms of protective apparel and equipment standard requirements.
As workplace safety requirements evolved, so did MDS.
Our customers trusted us to provide the products they needed to protect their employees, facilities, and operations. As those relationships grew, customers began asking us to supply additional products and solutions.
Over time, MDS expanded beyond healthcare into industries including pharmaceutical and life sciences, nuclear services, critical and clean rooms, manufacturing, food processing, laboratories, research, industrial safety, healthcare, dental, and other specialized markets.
Our product mix has always been shaped by our customers.
One customer. One need. One solution at a time.
Today, that philosophy continues through ECO MDS Associates as we help businesses identify products that can support both their operational requirements and their sustainability goals.
