Consider how many plastic or foam deli containers are served in restaurants and grocery stores across our country everyday-the numbers are staggering. Used to serve food portions, they're eventually disposed into landfill where studies show conventional food ware can take 100+ years to fully decompose into toxic micro-plastic that threatens our food and water supply.
These clear and durable PLA round deli lids are made from Polylactic Acid (PLA). This round lid fits Vegware™ 8-32oz deli containers, with a great seal and easy to stack. Made from plants with clear visibility, you can keep your cold deli counter treats, healthy snacks, protein pots or fruit salads, or a delicious yogurt dessert and more fresh.
Vegware™, is renowned for their award-winning quality products, made from plants. They hold the deepest set of compostability certification in the sector and has you covered with their innovative, high-quality range of award-winning plant-based catering disposables to package and deliver your hot and cold food and drink. Moreover, these corn plastic deli lids are certified by the Biodegradable Products Institute (BPI®) to compost within 180 days in commercial composting facilities, where accepted.
There is a new Eco-technology available for your food service packaging and catering disposables and it’s called Polyactic acid (PLA). PLA is a plastic substrate made from fermented plant starch (usually corn) and it is fast becoming a popular alternative to traditional petroleum based plastics. Products are packaged in recyclable paperboard and polyolefin plastic wrap. Please recycle all packaging where available. Recycling facilities may not be available in all areas.
**Corn plastic begins to melt at 105 degrees F. Please store out of direct sunlight.**
